 Soprano Cornet

Nice choice, the soprano cornet is the smallest and highest pitched brass band instrument.

Interesting Soprano cornet facts
  • The soprano cornet is very similar to the standard cornet, but it is pitched a forth higher.

  • A single soprano cornet is usually seen in brass bands and can often be found playing lead or descant parts in ensembles.

  • Just like the cornet it is a conical bore instrument. This means that the diameter of it’s tubing gradually increases throughout the length of the tubing.
